NYS Fair Homebrew Competition

The 2013 New York State Fair Competition – Judging May 31st – June 1st, 2013, Award Ceremony August 25th at Noon in the Art & Home Center Theater

The Salt City Brew Club is the host club for the New York State Fair Home Brew Competition. We provide judges, and stewards for this New York State competition. Home brewers from all over New York compete in this state wide event. All BJCP beer styles for home brew competition are judged. Rule highlights for the competition are provided below, see the link on this page for complete rules and competition information:

1. Open to any amateur homebrewer, 21 years old or older, who is a resident of New York State
2. Beers must be received by 4:00 PM, Thursday, May 16th, 2013.
3. Entry fee and forms must be received by NY State Fair by May 16th, 2013.
4. Judging will be held on Friday May 31st and Saturday, June 1st, 2013.
5. Fees are $6 per entry. Please make your check payable to “NYS Fair”
6. An entry consists of two bottles of the same beer. Attach a label from the entry form on each entered bottle. Bottles of 12 oz. or greater may be entered. Carbonators, swingtop, etc. will be allowed.
7. To enter, complete and sign the entry form. Mail the a copy with the entry fee to the NYS Fair Entry Department, 581 State Fair Blvd., Syracuse, NY 13209 by May 16th. Make check payable to the NYS Fair. Present one copy and the beer at one of the designated drop off points OR you may ship your entries and one copy of form to: NYS Fair Home Brew, Art & Home Center, 581 State Fair Blvd., Syracuse, NY 13209. If you are downloading the entry form, please print two (2) copies. One is to be shipped with the beer, the other is to be sent to the NYS Fair with entry fees.
